Coachella Music & Arts Festival | blab.me

Coachella Music & Arts Festival

After the success of SXSW the blabme team decided to recreate the Summer of Love in the middle of the Palm Desert in the Coachella Valley. There are rarely any trains there, never mind direct ones, and the journey to Indio where the festival site is can take 45mins from Palm Springs in itself.

Most people choose to sleep out in one of the near by camp sites (Base Camp / Vestal Village) but we were lucky enough to get one of the last hotel rooms at one of the many local resorts.

Once at the festival site (a bit of a dust bowl) we chatted to a few tailgaters who were BBQing and then headed to the main entrance. Some pedicabs were braving the 100 degree heat giving rides to festival goers but as these were $60 we decided to walk. On our way we kept getting reminded from a speaker:

"Welcome to Indio, this is pink parking, pink..."

The lines outside weren't that long and so after two security searches the girls headed off to do their thing. I then used my pass to gain early access to the VIP areas. Wow! Premium toilets, shaded marquees, lounge chairs, no line bars for food or drink. Cool to hang with Diplo, Kellen Lutz, Dorothy Wang & Morgan Stewart and G-Eazy + Bebe Rexha.

The blabme team got lots of people to sign up on our website and shared our link on several social networks in true promoter style.

After chatting to a couple of the event organizers, we headed out to see people play. Guns N'Roses #GNR were great on the main stage with their old skool tracks..Sweet Child of Mine, Paradise City etc..

By this time the Lasers were kicking in and the super heavy bass from the huge sound system near by was shaking us to the bone!

After a while we made it back to the main area returning to comparative sanctuary, so we handed out some more blab.me sunglasses and exclusive invites (now in quite some demand!) and then chowed down to reflect on another successful weekend promoting blabme to the world.

Sharing is Caring! Tell all your friends!

Until next time 🙂
